Abstract
Presented is the case of a 36-year-old man using central venous sites for injection
of street drugs. X-ray study revealed numerous retained subcutaneous needles as well
as a needle that had embolized to the lung periphery. This represents, to the best
of our knowledge, a previously unreported complication of central venous injection
of street drugs.
