If you have ever used a band-aid, you have been directly influenced by Robert Wood
Johnson (RWJ). Johnson & Johnson was founded by RWJ in the late 1800s and has grown
to become one of the world's largest health product companies. Much of the growth
occurred under the direction of RWJ II, who also established the foundation bearing
his name. The RWJ Foundation's anthology, To Improve Health and Health Care, Volume VIII, details the Foundation's recent donations. It serves both to inform and to provide
a transparent accounting of the Foundation's activities.
