Ad Hominem for John A. Marx

      Stephen Hayden: It is with great sadness that we note the passing of John Andrew Marx, Chair Emeritus of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) on July 1, 2012. John touched many of our lives as a great teacher, leader, and contributor to the body of Emergency Medicine knowledge through his stewardship of Rosen’s Emergency Medicine text, and as the longtime section editor for Original Contributions in the Journal of Emergency Medicine. When John stepped down as Chair in 2010, the Department initiated the John A. Marx scholarship fund in his honor. The fund will provide sustaining support for research programs and notable academic endeavors conducted by CMC Emergency Medicine faculty and residents.
