Effect of Erythropoietin and Transfusion Threshold on Neurological Recovery After Traumatic Brain Injury: A Randomized Clinical Trial

      This study investigated the effect of erythropoietin and two transfusion thresholds (7 mg/dL vs. 10 mg/dL) on neurologic recovery in patients with traumatic brain injury (TBI). Patients that could not follow commands after closed head injury admitted to one of two Level I trauma centers in Houston, TX were included in this study.
