Dual Carpometacarpal Dislocation

      A healthy 30-year-old male presented to the emergency department with swelling and pain of the right hand and wrist after punching a wall 5 days earlier (Figure 1). The patient was in moderate, aching pain, worse with movement and better with rest. He was seen at an outside hospital, placed in a volar splint and told to follow-up with an orthopedist. He presented for a second opinion. An x-ray study of the right hand with three views was performed (Figure 2, Figure 3, Figure 4).
