It is well accepted in the medical community that the initial medication of choice
for status epilepticus is a benzodiazepine. If initial treatment with a benzodiazepine
fails to terminate seizure activity, the next step in pharmaceutical treatment remains
unclear. This study attempts to compare secondary treatments for status epilepticus.
